Good morning, Manila!

I'm here! I made it to Manila! Luckily all of my luggage made it with me. I was able to get some rest last night, so I feel great!

Of course, I had to find something to do this morning. My hotel is in the financial district and there is a mall right across the street, so I went shopping!

The first place I walked into had nothing but shoes!

Lots of ladies shoes of all different types.
All of these shoes were wrapped in plastic so they wouldn't get dirty!

There was even a shoe chandelier!
The prices are a lot lower here, too, due to the exchange rate and other factors. Flip flops were about 350 pesos (equal to about $7.00) and athletic shoes were about 800 (about $16.00).

The Philippines is getting ready for the new school year to start on Monday, June 13, so of course there were lots of back to school specials!

All kinds of notebooks but none of them were spiral!
I didn't buy anything yet. What should I look for next time I go shopping?

  1. Wow! I cannot believe how inexpensive the exchange rate makes the shoes. Sounds like you will be able to get your family souvenirs for a super low price! :) Thank you for sharing with us!! I hope you are having FUN!

    1. Hi Natalie, thanks for reading my blog! The flip flops were about $7 and the athletic shoes were about $16. Maybe I will buy some! It is very hot here because it is so close to the Equator. There are all kinds of foods -- I hope to post some pictures of food soon!
